Philly Daily News headline: terrible judgment

Poor Rich Hofmann.

You just hope that he didn’t write his own headline today in the Philadelphia Daily News.

The column itself was fine. Sort of. It stretched a bit to draw parallels between Allen Iverson and federally convicted Mike Vick, both playing in Philadelphia in two different sports. They both grew up in a rough part of Virginia, so I suppose that’s enough of a connection for Hofmann.

Although, if I was Iverson, I might be offended to be lumped in with a convicted criminal.

Oh yeah. The headline:

“Iverson could join Newport News homey Vick here”

Homey? Really?
